RBCA Meeting

Objective

The members meet on a quarterly basis, the host can be a team member or an associated business.

This meeting was hosted by TKMaxx at their head office in Watford.

Meetings
Each of the RBCA quarterly meeting is structured around a main theme for the day, one common to retail business continuity and highlighted as an area worthy of further discussion and analysis by the RBCA members. In addition, time is provided to ensure that topical issues affecting business continuity within retail can be debated.

Initiatives
Benchmarking
Environment
Duty of Care – Business Travel
How to Exercise Effectively
Supply Chain Resilience

Method
Most discussions are conducted in teams, in this case we had 2 tables, so we split them into 2 teams.

Each team were then presented with 3 issues, these were discussed, and ideas on how to resolve each issue were presented.

Presentations
At least one guest speaker attends each meeting, they talk about their work, how they can help us and how we can help them.

At this meeting our guest speaker was from the NaCTSO Leadership Team and the information he was able to give us will help improve our plans, help us understand their strategy and how to better train our staff if they ever get caught up in an incident.
